More about this scene
This view looks south-west along the canal past the last lock, No 16, Hills and Partridges Lock, to Park Street Bridge. (Hills and Partridges works have now long gone.) The lock was the last before the narrow boats reached the canal basin at Walton Street, where a cargo crane is preserved. The bridge was rebuilt around 1900 by the Aylesbury Urban District Council in purple engineering brick. The building on the far left is the corner of the Nestle's works.
