More about this scene
The 18th-century coaching inn, the Black Boys, with its Dutch gable, is in the centre of the picture. Aylsham Market Place is part of the estate of Blickling Hall, two miles to the west, which was at one time owned by the Boleyn family. Like the Hall itself, the Market Place is now owned by the National Trust.
