Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

The ancient Market Cross with its sundial dominates the High Street in Barlborough, opposite the Rose and Crown public house, which is on the right of this 50s photograph. Note the pantiled roof of the house next door to the pub, and horse-drawn cart in the distance. In the background is Barlborough's distinctively-shaped water tower, known locally as 'the Egg Cup', it has been long since demolished.

Conkers And The Pram Race
Hello, my name is David Clarke. I lived in Barlborough from 1972 to 1978. We lived at 12 Westbridge Rd during that time frame. I went to Barlborough Primary School and so did my brother until my family moved to the U.S. in 1978. During that time frame, I was a choir boy at St. James' church. Rev. New Barlborough Police House
My dad, PC Leslie Ypres Wetherall, was the first policeman to move into the new Police House on New Road. My dad, mum, sister and I moved there from Grindleford. It was a beautiful new house with kitchen, dining room, living room, upstairs and downstairs loos with a separate room to do the laundry (now called a utility room), and of course the Police office with a heavy black telephone. My Family
From 1941 I lived in Clowne with my grandmother Mrs Turner. I have many happy memories of my time there and I am wondering if anyone has any memories of the family, apart from myself, Patricia, there was Eva, Jimmy, Christine & Bobby.

Helen Rodes Was My Mother
My mom's name was Helen Evelyn Rodes. She told me he family's name was deRodes and somethng about Horn Castle and Lincolnshire. Her father's name was Josephus deRodes, but when the family came to America (West Virginia and Virginia), then the deRodes name became just Rodes. I am searching for links in family. Genealogy & Research Images

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
