Anyone From Or Remember Barmore Street

A Memory of Battersea.

Hello,
I spent my early childhood in Barmore Street, which holds special memories. I do have an old photo showing a Street Party, which I will endeavour to upload (not sure how yet).
The Queens Head Pub was on the corner of our street, as yet have not seen any photos showing the Pub.
"Cabins" the sweet shop was just around the corner on York Road.
Bathrooms??? We had a weekly bath at the local Battersea Baths, where you called out for more hot or cold water!
My school was Falconbrook Primary, where I think I remember the name Miss Evans. Later went to Lavender Hill Secondary.
I would love to hear from anyone who remembers Barmore Street, or had family who lived there.
My maiden name was Peters.

Thanks for reading x

Comments & Feedback

My name is Trevor Bailey and I was born at number 11 Barmore Street with a lot of my family in the same road
Hello Trevor, Firstly thank you for responding to my Post. As a youngster I used to play with Evelyn Bailey. May I ask you what relationship she is to you?

Do you know if anyone from your family has any photo of Barmore Street?

Thank you,
Chris (Peters)
Yes I know her very well she is my sister and I will speak to her soon thanks will try and get photos
Hi Trevor, What a surprise, did Evelyn move far away? Are either of your parents still alive. They would probably remember my grandmother Margaret Peattie who lived at 12.
Look forward to hearing from you again.
Chris
