On the left is Bwthyn Llewelyn (Llewelyn Cottage); its signboard says that it caters for the Cyclists' Touring Club, the National Union and the Clarion Clubs. The cottage was an alehouse prior to the building of the Royal Goat Hotel. It is now a National Trust shop and information centre. Note the old petrol pump on the extreme right.

How on earth did I remember this morning (3rd May 2020]that I was there for a celebratory tea. V.E 1945? I checked whether there had ever been an establishment named Boomerang and to my surprise found this photograph. My mother, now 102 has no memory of it.
