Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.
Please Note: Our offices and factory are now closed until Monday 5th January when we will be pleased to deal with any queries that have arisen during the holiday period.

More about this scene
The old Infirmary, designed by John Wing and opened in 1803, fronted Ampthill Road; it was later expanded to be the Bedford General Hospital (South Site). Founded with a bequest from Samuel Whitbread, it had fifty beds - and a budget of £50 a year for leeches. In 1899, two years after this view was taken, it was replaced by fiery red brick and terra cotta buildings; its site is now occupied by an uninspiring Accident and Emergency building opened in 1964. It is a sad loss to the architectural heritage of the town.
