Belfast, View On The River Lagan 1936

More about this scene
Parts of the Lagan Canal were cuts made to bypass wide bends in the river, but most of the route is the river itself, with the tow-path added. It makes its way along the lovely Lagan valley; some of the most beautiful stretches are within a short distance of Molly Ward's Lock. All hustle was left behind, and the walker could enjoy the snipe and kingfisher. This is all now part of the Lagan Meadows nature trail.
