A Memory of Bethesda.

I used to rock climb in the area during the 1960's with my friends. Not that I was a good climber, but I loved the rugged freedom of the mountains. I also have memories of a young girl from Gerlan who was very nice to me. Her name was Sylvia.

I also climbed and spent time in Bethesda. A friend who climbed moved there about 1965 and had digs in the High Street (John Sargeant). I remember Arvons shop and a cafe in the High Street that had been used by the slate quarry workers and locals, it may have been called Bilco's?
