More about this scene
This is the town's main street from Telford's bridge, looking towards the mid 18th-century church designed by E & T Woodward. Even in 1931, things appeared to be geared heavily towards tourists and trippers: hotels, inns, cafes, ice cream, Parkes fish and chip saloon, and perhaps a visit to the Chocolate Box for a gift.
