Bishop's Cleeve has now become something of a small town, a dormitory for nearby Cheltenham, but it still has an attractive setting under the slopes of Cleeve Hill. Its fine church was mostly built in the 17th century, though some Norman features remain.

This was my grandparents house, I have so many wonderful memories of spending holidays there, paying with my cousins and stealing cakes from the bake house!
I can remember going to the Kings Head with my parents and their friends and spending time in the beer garden on the swing being given coke and crisps.
I can recall going to the Tithe Barn in 1961 where they were holding a jumble sale, and buying my mother a wind up gramophone for a shilling. There were some old 78's with it which mum kept for many years. I was 8 at the time and living in Stoke Orchard.
Its wonderful looking at these old photos. Thank you.
I am positive that my cousin RJ Smith and his parents lived in the housev in the photo. If anyone else remembers them please get in touch.
