Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

This view also shows the Imperial Hydropathic Hotel. Hydros were for the more affluent visitor, charging anything between 8s 6d and 10s 6d per day, with treatments extra. Among the facilities at places like the Norbeck Hall Hydro were tennis courts and an indoor swimming pool.

Wheelhouse Cafe
Does anybody remember if there was a cafe in Blackpool from the mid to late 1950's that was called The Wheelhouse (or similar name) or a cafe that was owned by a family by the name of Wheelhouse?

Does Anyone Remember Sarah(Sally) Mc Kinnell From 1956 To 1958?
I am looking for anyone who remembers Sarah(Sally) McKinnel from 1956. Sarah(Sally) was aged about 19 in 1956. In 1957/58 Sarah (Sally) was living at 29 Seafield Road, Blackpool with a Mr & Mrs John and Rose Wheelhouse and was a hotel receptionist. Blackpool Should Have Stayed There.
Born in Victoria Hospital. Grew up on Knitting Row Lane, Out Rawcliff. Worked at Fox's Biscuits and Big Jim's Black Horse Boddington pub in Kirkham. Worked in the engineering shop at the Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Had to deal with 'mods' and 'rockers'. Got chased down the promenade by a bunch of girls who thought I was Cliff Richard. Genealogy & Research Images

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
