We are looking towards Colne with the road up to the Heath on the left. The thatched cottage on the left was until recently home to the village carpenter and funeral director. Two new housing developments have appeared further down the road.

I was a Dr Banardo's boy. I was with Mrs F Ashton for about 3 yrs, at the homestead, which I think has since gone, it was an old pub.
