Bognor Regis, The Pier 1911

More about this scene
The pier opened in 1865, with a seaward end pavilion constructed in 1900. A new shoreward end complex was added a decade later, including a cinema, arcade and theatre. Today the seaward end pavilion is no more, a victim of storms in the 1960s. This threatened pier, which was refused Lottery funding, hosts an annual Birdman Rally.
