Bolton Hall
A Memory of Bolton Upon Dearne.
My grandparents lived at the co-op in Bolton. My grandad was the manager there in the 1930 s. Their names were Percy and Irene Ibberson. Later they moved to Wath, to the big shop in the centre. My mother, Lilian, worked at Bolton Hall during the war. She told me it was the HQ of the northern command. Some high ranking officers were in charge there. I think some Italian ex POWs worked there too.
I'd be grateful if anyone could provide any information about Bolton Hall during the war years.
Thanks,
Gail
