Bowness On Windermere, Belsfield Hotel 1925

More about this scene
This later picture of the Belsfield Hotel emphasises its commanding position above the lake. The third storey was added when Schneider's former home became a hotel. By 1925, the Promenade behind the boat station was fully developed; here it is being used by a variety of vehicles - a charabanc, a horse and trap, a motor car and an invalid carriage. Behind the horse and trap (left) we can just see the little gate used by Schneider en route to and from his steam yacht.
