More about this scene

This five-storey L-plan tower house was built by the Earl of Mar in 1628. It was here in 1714 that a so-called hunt was assembled by John Erskine, 6th Earl of Mar. It was in fact the start of a rebellion against the house of Hanover and the Union, and the Stuart standard was raised.
