More about this scene
Now we look westwards down the south side of West Street, from Knight and Son, tailors (far left). The next building housed stationer and printer W Frost who published the 'Bridport News'. Next is the Sun Inn, followed by confectioner and milliner Miss Amanda Spiller (with two separate shops), and Mrs Rosa Warren's china and glass store. Best Outfitters are in the three-storey building, beyond which the Lily Hotel projects towards the road, with Colmer's Hill being the distinctive hilltop (centre).
