More about this scene
Cars and buses are no longer allowed to park among the weird and wonderful gritstone formations of Brimham Rocks, near Pateley Bridge in Nidderdale, as they were when this photograph was taken. The 387-acre estate is now in the hands of the National Trust, and visitors have to use the large car park at the entrance before they can explore the wind- and frost-eroded stones.
