Around this time the former classics teacher of the town's high school, Miss Richmal Crompton, was famed for being the author of the Just William books. It is more than likely that as a Bromley town resident she bought her bread from the Hovis bakers, right, or visited Wymans shop nearby.

Does anybody recall Bromley Grammar School?
I left there in 1961.

1968 I was born above the shop that was an off licence, I believe it was called Wine Ways later became Victoria Wine.My family moved in 1973 and I would like to be able to get any info or a picture of where I was born
My brother fell in here, probably around 1949.
I remember the coffee shop too. We always had to rush past as Mum couldn't bear the smell of fresh roasting coffee. We would go into Lyons and I would always have a sausage roll with my drink. Happy days.
