Buckland, St Mary The Virgin Church 1900

More about this scene
The church of St Mary has some parts that are medieval, but most of what can be seen today dates from its rebuilding between 1859 and 1860 under the supervision of Henry Woodyer. William Shearburn of Dorking carried out the building work at a cost of £2,253 - a tidy sum back then, and all raised by public subscription.
