More about this scene
As a break from a succession of market towns, the route heads north-west to Buckland St Mary, situated just north of the A303 and at the east end of the well-wooded Blackdown Hills. It is really a scattered hamlet with a church; its setting in the pastoral and wooded landscape of this area is most attractive.
