More about this scene
Halfway down the estuary of the Beaulieu river stands the little community of Bucklers Hard. During the great days of sail many men-o'-war were built here, including the 'Agamemnon', the 'Bellerophon' and the 'Illustrious'. The hamlet declined in importance with the advent of the warships.
