More about this scene
This lovely half-timbered house is typical of many houses in this quiet neighbourhood, not far from the banks of the River Severn. Much of the land hereabouts belonged to the Dowdeswell family for hundreds of years. Bushley church is full of their monuments, including that of General William Dowdeswell who fought against Napoleon.
