More about this scene
This well-known inn is situated in a peaceful corner of the New Forest, close to Cadnam. Originally the pub was sited nearby and was known as the Stump, named after the one-legged landlady who ran it. It became the Sir Walter Tyrrell in 1929, but was destroyed by fire after the Second World War. It was later rebuilt. Sir Walter Tyrrell was a nobleman at the court of King William Rufus.
