Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

In For Free.
Yes I used to walk from the Lump, with Micky, Idris, Arthur Cartwright, Brian Merredith, Neville Shone and more. One of us would pay and some of us try to crawl past the little pay window and get in for free. Great memories.

Cefn Y Bedd
We used to walk from the lump Cefn-y-Bedd to the pictures, myself, Jimmy Farrell, Alan Tudor and Kenny Williams, Mrs Challoner used to work there, a bag of chips then walk home, ho happy days.

Derby Cinema
I remember going on a Friday night with my friends and going in the ninepence seats and calling in the chippy on the way home.

Castle Street 'picture House'
The white building on the right used to be the cinema, or as we knew it the 'Picture House'. My late grandfather George Alfred Williams, known as 'Alf' or 'Little Alf' was the projectionist there for many years - he didn't have far to go, he lived about 50 yards further down the road! My mum was born on Castle Street and still lives in the village. The actual view hasn't changed that dramatically, but the shop is no longer there and the cinema is now used by a mechanical engineering firm.

Genealogy & Research Images

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
