More about this scene
Norfolk's own California is just north of Caister. The 'Cali' has satisfied the thirst of generations of holidaymakers, but before the tourists came it served the community of beachmen who lived here from 1850 onwards. They were salvagemen, and earned their living from the many wrecks along this coast.
