More about this scene

These solid premises housed the world-famous mining college in the capital of the Cornish mining district. It started in 1888 as the Camborne Science and Art School in the right-hand section with a chimney; further extensions were made to the left in the early 1890s. The School of Mines moved to a new campus at Pool in 1974 and the main building was demolished soon afterwards.

Rowe Family In Camborne

My father in law grew up in Cornwall in the 1920's he was Desmond Rowe and had a sister born 1923 called Cynthia Joan Rowe, his mother was Maud Mary Rowe and they lived in No 1 New Row in Treskillard, I have been researching the family now for 20 years and have lots of information but sadly no photo's, does anyone remember them or are there relatives that would be willing to talk to me. Richards Family, Treswithian Downs, Camborne
I am trying to trace some details about the Richards family, in particular Edward Richards, in 1851 he lived at 70 Treswithian Downs and in 1861 he moved to 25 Treswithian Downs, he was a miner. He had a son, William Morley Richards, who is my grandfather, he lived at 25 Treswithian Downs, he was aged 13 at that time. Looking For My Ugandan Father Circa 1959
I am looking for my birth father but unfortunately have very little information and am hoping that someone who was at the college in 1959, or who have relatives that attended the college, may be able to help. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
