More about this scene
St Catharine's was founded by Robert Woodlarke in 1473, then the third provost of King's. He came from a wealthy family, and spent much of his fortune developing St Catharine's (named after the patron saint of learning). None of the original buildings survive, however, and most of the structure, including the magnificent dining hall, is 17th-century or later.
