Isaac Green 1800's
A Memory of Camerton.
Alas, I have no memories of Camerton. I have never visited this town of my ancestors. I have been to Bath, but at the time never knew of the existence of my family having originated in Camerton. My ancestor was one Isaac Green, who was a thorn in the side of the Rev John Skinner. I have the Rev John Skinner's book and find it so interesting reading about the parishoners of Camerton. The to and fro between my Isaac and the Rev John Skinner has given me a great insight into my family. If by any chance there is someone left in the community who knows more about the Green family from Camerton, I would so love to hear from them. I have come to a dead end with my Isaac. According to the 1851 Census he was living with his niece Ann Hodder (nee Moon) in Timsbury. It says that he was born in Stratton, which one would assume as being Stratton on the Fosse. We have found his sisters there, but nothing on our Isaac. He later died in the Wells Asylum in 1857. If anyone has any connection to this family it would be greatly appreciated if you could make contact. There are 2 of us 'down under' looking for family connection to Isaac Green.
