More about this scene

Most of England's Celtic legacy is to be found in Cornwall. Carn Brea, between Camborne and Redruth, has a very long archaeological record commencing with a large walled Neolithic settlement, one of the oldest in England. In this rather dramatic photograph, the remains of a medieval castle are on the left, whilst the stone monument on the right was erected in memory of a Victorian local landowner.
