More about this scene
This view shows the solid Georgian façade of the Wheatsheaf Hotel in the Wensleydale village of Carperby, halfway between Hawes and Leyburn. The inn is typical of many in the villages of the Yorkshire Dales, originally relying on trade from local residents and farmers, but now mainly on tourist traffic.
