i was born in 1960 lived in 141 Lansbury ave did my schooling in derwyndeg infants then ystrad mynach secondary then lewis boiys pengam my family where well known as my father Fred used to take part in all the carnivals in the area he used to dress up as the witch doctor he won most of the time and did his bit for local charity's. sadly he passed in late 1990s. also remember playing football on the fields behind ...see more
My father was the only Nazi in the village, and me and my 16 siblings were unfairly victimized.I rember each whitsun we would march with the other kids from the chapel, but we were somehow different. People would point and jeer at us.
Hi this is a stab in the dark but maybe someone will know of something. My Nanna was a small girl during the war. She was born Annie Elizabeth Gordon in 1935 in Gateshead. Her and her older brother, Luke Skelly Gordon, b.1932 Gatshead were living in Birmingham when they were evacuated to South Wales.
