More about this scene

East of the Misbourne, beyond Gravel Hill, Chalfont Common was one of Chalfont St Peter's three commons. To the north, the National Society for Epileptics, informally grouped round Arts and Crafts style houses and cottages, started in 1895 and still going strong. Housing of all sorts grew up on the rest of the Common and in this view Fernlea House, on the left, is from the 1890s while the pair of shops is from the 1960s, the stores now a Spar and the other shop a hair stylist.

My Childhood Neighborhood Candy Store

I lived on Chesham Lane next to the old farm community called the oh that name is way back in my mind The place was next door to our house tennis courts on grass!!! A friend guy lived across from us. Best friends with Alan and Simon Good not related we used to play in the bomb shelters from WW2 I loved it there in the countryside riding bicycle all around exploring miles of beautiful fields and estates. Gypsy's were in the woods and I would visit them. Please contact me for old times sake!

However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
