Lovely at all times of the year, the Golden Valley where Chalford clings on its hillside is indeed glorious when autumn touches its many wooded steeps and slopes, dips and dells with a golden hand. Artists come in an attempt to catch the colour, and anglers come in their season to the River Frome that weaves its way through the valley.
