More about this scene

Note the Beach Cafe (left) and the groynes on Charmouth beach; we are looking eastwards to Cain's Folly (centre) and Golden Cap (right). Offshore are the Mouth Rocks. Like the cliffs to the west, Cain's Folly has had its landslips, with one interrupting coastal radar coverage during the Second World War when some of the concrete buildings of an RAF establishment slid over the edge on 14 May 1942. The cliffs eastwards to Eype Mouth are now in National Trust ownership.
