Memories of Chelmsford, High Street 1969

For many years now, we've been inviting visitors to our website to add their own memories to share their experiences of life as it was, prompted by the photographs in our archive. These memories are of Chelmsford, High Street 1969

Sparked a Memory for you?

If this has sparked a memory, why not share it here?

This is the view looking down the High Street, and you can see four cars parked on the left hand side of the road outside a large store. You can just make out the name, Bonds. This was in fact J. G. Bonds which has long since gone and is now the site for the Debenhams present-day store.
