Cheltenham, Queen's Hotel 1901

More about this scene
The Queen's Hotel has dominated the southern end of the Promenade ever since it was built in 1837. An increase in the number of wealthy visitors to the spa meant that the old inns and small hotels could no longer cope. This hotel was opened in the first year of Victoria's reign, and was named in her honour.
