Food hygiene regulations have changed somewhat since this photograph of the Leche House was taken. The house is named after the Leche family; their coat of arms can still be seen on a fireplace in one of the first floor rooms. The Rows clearly provided Maddocks the cabinetmakers with a valuable display area.
