More about this scene

From the slopes of Quarry Hill, above Park Farm (centre), we look south-westwards to Golden Cap (left of centre) and Langdon Hill. Its trees are at Knell Coppice on the western slope and Elinor's Clump (top right). The latter commemorated the marriage of Miss Elinor Mary Triphine de Poher to the local landowner Frederick Joseph Weld of Chideock Manor. The row of council houses is at Broadmead (left foreground).
