Chipping Campden is a centre of fine craftsmanship to this day; this is a legacy of the architect Charles Ashbee, who in 1902 brought 100 silversmiths, furniture makers and other craftsmen with their families from Londons East End to establish the Guild of Handiraft in the town.

My grandparents lived in the Almshouses, not sure which one first, but certainly No4 and then later they moved to No12 - this is the house and window which is featured in the photo.
