School Days And After
A Memory of Chipping Ongar.
I lived on the Shelley estate at 12 Crispsey Avenue and went to the primary school in Ongar town near the town hall. Later I went to the new primary school on the Shelley estate on Milton Crescent. On the Moreton Road was a bicycle race track which my older brother Michael raced. I can still remember the houses across form my home being built. We lived next door to the Fog's on the right and the Neil's on the left. Our house had 4 bedrooms as there was 5 children plus parents. Later moved to South Ockendon. My older brother and a sister went to high school at the top Moreton Rd. and Fyfield Rd.
I later played the Ongar High school in Rugby playing for Leonards Secondary school South Ockendon. Pleased to say we WON. After living in Melbourne Australia came back and lived for a year with an aunt on Moreton Rd, Went to work at Selo's Film factory in Brentwood with my cousins Andrew and John.
