More about this scene
The sinuous valley of the Tattenham Corner branch- line threads its way through the contours at the foot of Banstead Downs on the right. In the centre can be seen the viaduct taking the railway over Outwood Lane on its way to Kingswood. The line was opened in 1897, partly as a speculation by Sir Cosmo Bonsor.
