More about this scene
Frith's photographer moves on to Clapham Common; seeking human interest, he pauses at the Long Pond at the eastern end of the Common, looking from the opposite side to C327009 (pages 108 - 109). In the distance are the houses of Clapham Common South Side, some of which survive from the 18th century and more from the 19th.
