All 300,000 photographs in The Frith Collection have been scanned, but as the photos were taken over a 110 year period on a wide range of glass & film negatives, using different photographic processes, every image has to be checked and optimised, before we make a print for a customer.

Clophill Post Office Early 50’s

I recall the post office very well. When I was about twelve, I lived just the other side of the A6 cross roads, so my visits were frequent as this was very much nearer than Maulden post office. 39 Mill Lane

The gable end of the house on the left is 39 Mill Lane and Back St starts at the junction over the hill and not visible here. My father built the house about 1935 when he was 21 years old. I grew up there until 1955 when it was sold and we moved from Clophill for a short time.
