Clowne, St John The Baptist Church c.1950

More about this scene
Dedicated to St John Baptist, the church was originally built in the Norman style, though much of this has been lost in subsequent rebuilding. In 1898 a new pulpit was installed and the churchyard extended by a further acre. Business appears to have been brisk, as the churchyard was extended again in 1925.
