Hi Bob. Tom Clarke here from 115 your old neighbour. I am a bit older than you as the eldest of our clan but I have vivid memories of "down the glen" with the rope swing and our magic tree hut near the burn. We build a big raft with oil drums and sleepers when the burn was high at the red root rope swing. We sailed it through the 1929 and it ditched at the other side beneath the A8. We were down there all day during the school holidays. Remember Cha Garsyth getting soaked whin the rope swing broke when he was across the middle of the burn. We had to light a fire to dry him off before he went home. Happy days indeed!! 🤓
