Colchester, Parnell's Cell 1908

More about this scene
This refers to James Parnell, the first Quaker martyr, rather than the later Irish patriot. In fact the title is incorrect, for he was imprisoned in "The Oven", a cramped cell next to the great staircase and near the well in the diagonally opposite corner of the keep.
