Colchester, St Peter's Church 1907

More about this scene
Its tower of 1758, in red brick with yellow brick quions and battlements, the Geogianised aisles, and the 18th century galleries inside, all disguise a medieval church. To add to the confusion, the Victorians added the clerestory and the curious lumpy clock with its medieval-style bracket and pediment.
