Moving east we reach Coleshill, a mile south of Amersham. This village was an enclave of Hertfordshire, being transferred to Buckinghamshire in 1832, and there are many good 16th and 17th century timber-framed farmhouses and cottages within the parish. It had a chapel of ease that was demolished around 1800. The present church of 1860, by G E Street, the architect of London's Law Courts, is a simple flint church with brick bands and stone dressings. Its churchyard acquired a Millennium lych gate in 2000.

Whitethorn Morris Dance At The Red Lion Coleshill
For many years morris sides danced in the road in front of the pub garden of the Red Lion. This has been a popular venue to celebrate May Day morning at dawn. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
