Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Strand Castle
In 1951 together with my parents & brothers we camped at a little campsite next to an old house called Strand Castle next to the strand brook. The site was run by a Mr Wallace who lived at Strand Castle..he had old army tents set up in the field & a small floating dip pool anchored in the strand brook..we, as Londoners really loved the rural site. I have several photos taken on this holiday.

Cookham Idyll
I also have many happy memories of life in Cookham. We moved here from Maidenhead and brought up our children in this lovely area. The pubs of Cookham and the Dean were great and we walked for miles enjoying the scenery. We earned money by working at Copas farm throughout the season, I particularly remember turkey plucking and potato picking. We swam in Odney's water and my children and grandchildrem enjoyed messing ...see more

Bassetts Allsorts
I don't actually remember this but I was born in Maidenhead at the Bassett's Licorice Allsorts Mansion. This was apparently used as a maternity hospital during the war. I have tried to find out more about this place but have failed. Can anyone help me? My mother was a widow but also an unmarried mother evacuated from London.

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
